how white will my teeth get?

Its best to have a realistic expectation before undergoing any whitening treatment. Teeth whitening results are subjective, varying considerably from person to person. Teeth whitening can change a tooth’s colour by several shades, however we will only be able to get your teeth as white as your natural enamel colour. this is the case with all cosmetic teeth whitening treatments offered.

In saying that, majority of people have years of stains built up as a result of food, drink and lifestyle factors. After a WHITE treatment, most clients can expect 5 to 12 shades lighter depending on the treatment selected. It’s important to note that previous use of teeth whitening products may reduce the results you achieve.

how long will the RESULTS LAST?

Teeth whitening is not permanent, but how long the effects last will depend on the type of treatment you have and how well you look after your teeth afterwards.

In most cases, teeth whitening can last from 6 months up to 2 years. We recommend you come back for a top up after 6 to 8 weeks. There is a greater chance of your teeth staying whiter for longer if you avoid smoking, staining foods and drinks such as tea and coffee.

i have a big event coming up- how far in advance should i get whitening?

Teeth whitening has become a popular way to prepare for weddings and other social events where people want to look their best. Having your teeth professionally whitened by WHITE will ensure you achieve instant results in a single treatment compared to other products offered on the market which may take weeks.

how long does the treatment go for?

Each appointment with our clients may vary slightly. Our technicians work efficiently and thoroughly with each individual to achieve their best results. On average our treatments take around 90 minutes.

Shouldn’t teeth whitening be done by a dentist?

Teeth whitening is not a dental, but a purely cosmetic procedure. Many dentists undergo the same type of training as our WHITE- teeth whitening technicians, and both produce fantastic results. At WHITE, our high quality products and equipment is compliant with Australian standards and regulations. So instead of taking time out of your busy schedule to travel to a dentist where you could expect to pay hundreds of dollars more to get the same result, sit back, relax and let us come to you.

Who is not suitable for this treatment?

Our treatments are not suitable for women that are pregnant or breastfeeding, those under the age of 16 and those with tooth decay, gum disease or exposed roots.

Does the treatment cause any sensitivity?

Everyones teeth are different where some experience no sensitivity and some do. If sensitivity does occur, it is usually temporary and the severity should subside within a few hours. The most common sensitivity is temperature based after you have treatment which lasts about 24-48 hours. You should never experience pain with teeth whitening, whether its performed by a professional technician or at the dentist.

what are we unable to whiten?

Teeth can only ever be whitened to their original natural colour. Although years of staining from Caps, crowns and veneers can be removed, they can not be whitened further then the colour they were matched with originally.
